Westfield, Sussex - Four Winds
London Dog Forum highly recommends this break and it features high on our list of favourites. Westfield is very affordable and provides an opportunity to enjoy the picturesque Sussex countryside with its oast houses, vineyards and orchards and is within easy reach of the coast.
Situated in the heart of this attractive village, you will not receive a warmer welcome anywhere than at Four Winds, a small B & B with a beautifully kept garden, ample parking and splendid views. Your genial hosts, Judy and Ian Stewart, can provide a room with a private bathroom that is especially suitable for dog owners as it has its own door giving direct access onto the terrace. All rooms are supplied with a colour TV and hospitality tray, and in the morning, you will be treated to a delicious home cooked breakfast.

Should you tire of the walks in this area and the excellent local pubs and restaurants, there are many places to visit that are only a short drive away. Among these are Battle with its ruined Abbey and the site where King Harold was slain in the Battle of Hastings 1066, the lovely old fishing port of Rye with its Tudor houses and cobbled streets and it is worth driving the little extra mileage for your dog to enjoy a run along the unique Camber Sands that are often used as a location for films and television, but please respect the dog free zones and pick up after your dog. The nearest large shopping centre is Hastings that has attractions for all the family and an Old Town with Dickensian fishing huts.
