The Albion is a Georgian gem left over from a time when Islington was fields and farmland and where the regulars would take afternoon walks out of the city to visit us.

With its wisteria covered façade and log fires, The Albion provides the perfect location to entertain, relax and forget the stresses of modern life, combining a central Islington location, just off Upper Street, with a picturesque walled garden situated within the Barnsbury conservation area.

The Albion won The Observer Food Monthly award for “Best Sunday Lunch 2009” and is one of The Independent’s “Top 50 Sunday Lunch Venues” and The Guardian’s “Best Pubs in the UK”.

Food & Drink

At the heart of The Albion is our passion for food. Our menu is all about seasonality and tradition. Many of our dishes have a sharing element for the whole family and groups up to ten people.

In the summer months our specially designed barbeque informs our menu and we offer a wide range of meat, fish and vegetables cooked fresh on the grill.

We carry a wide selection of lagers, beers, real ales and ciders, and our wine list has been developed for us by one of the country’s leading wine experts and perfectly complements our food and customers’ tastes.
