PUTTING OUT A CALL TO RESCUES - 14th August 2013

I'm a dog photographer covering London and the South East and I do a lot of work with sighthound rescue charities, photographing their dogs and their events pro bono to help them raise their profile and raise funds.  For example I cover events for Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare and done the photography for their  calendars for the last several years, both of which help them raise funds.  I've recently done a series of studio pictures for both Kent Greyhound Rescue and for Kerry Greyhounds, and the results have helped them get some sticky dogs into loving homes.

I'd like to offer similar services free of charge to a couple of general dog rescues in the London area and I wondered if you'd let me put out a call to rescues on the LDF and how I'd go about it?

Request for volunteer dog walker, Wallington, Surrey

My name is Carol Mundy and I am the manager of Paw Pals Sutton. I have had contact with a client in Wallington, Surrey who has had a stroke and has learning difficulties. She wanted her 8 month old puppy walked as she can no longer do it herself. She is receiving disability allowance and I do not feel our service is the right one for her as we charge for a dog walk.

Please can you help to find a volunteer dog walker for her? She is vulnerable and needs the support. If you could contact me I would be most grateful.

Dogs suitable for this study will be:

Social Network For North London Dog Walkers - posted 26th March 2013

Claire Hardiman of Crouch Hill Dogs is arranging a networking event for professional dogwalkers and boarders, whether they offer services full or part time, in North London.

Many dog walkers agree the work can be quite an isolatingoccupation, especially if you're working freelance and small scale, so Claire came up with the idea of a social event, where people can swap numbers for mutual support, joint dog walks etc.

There is a meeting arranged at White Lion of Mortimer (Wetherspoons, pavement terrace), Stroud Green, Sat 6 April at 11am for coffee.

Look forward to meeting you.
