KentCAN YOU GIVE SPRITELY SPROCKET THE PERFECT HOME? ![]() Staff at Dogs Trust Canterbury are hoping to find the perfect home for Sprocket a two year old Terrier Cross with quite an unusual condition. Sprocket’s small intestine doesn’t work properly which means he can’t absorb protein in the same way that other dogs can. Sadly, he spent his first few weeks at Dogs Trust at the Vets as he was really very unwell. Thanks to the love and care of the Dogs Trust team Sprocket is very much on the mend and in search of a new family to take him on. He will be part foster dog which means that all his vet bills relating to his condition will be covered. Due to his condition he needs to have a special diet and feeding him scraps will set him back rather than serve as a tasty treat. Sprocket is a real character and loves nothing more than a good play so ideally he will be rehomed to an active family. He is also a bit of a ladies man and would love a female doggy companion to run about with. If you think you would like to meet Sprocket or any of the other amazing dogs at Dogs Trust Canterbury please visit them at: Radfall Road, Chestfield, Nr Whitstable, Kent, CT53ER or call on 01227 792 505 Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 16,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres nationwide. Our awards celebrate the very special things which dogs give us, and I don’t just mean the chewed slippers. Let’s rejoice in all things canine and give these hirsute heroes the recognition they deserve.” To nominate your dog go online at www.dogstrusthonours.co.uk or send your dog’s details, story and high res photo to awards@dogstrust.org.uk .
