Human/Dog Interaction

Man has had a relationship with the dog since the early hunter-gatherers but for hundreds of years their use was confined to hunting and guarding.  It has only been in recent decades that scientists have realised the impact that dogs have made on our lives.  Dogs not only play many vital roles in society as service dogs for the disabled, rescue dogs, dogs in the armed services, dogs in sport and entertainment and as educators to our children, but also scientists have realised the positive affect that dogs have on human health both physically and mentally.

London Dog Forum's purpose in making people aware of the human/dog interaction is to improve the welfare of both dogs and humans.
