POOCHES and their owners are being invited to take part in a dog walk with a difference next month (Sept) – a four-footed fundraiser.

Best Paw Forward on Saturday September 7 is a 4km sponsored dog walk around beautiful and historic Peckham Rye Park in South London. It is being held in conjunction with the annual Friends of Peckham

Rye Fete and will raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The walk will start at 11am and follow a route through the picturesque woods and Peckham Park and will last around an hour. (Please note - the start time has been brought forward from 12 midday to 11am.)

Claire Cullen, Cancer Research UK’s Local Fundraising Manager for South East London said: “Best Paw Forward is a fun way to raise money for Cancer Research UK, meet lots of other dog walkers and enjoy the natural surroundings of the park. And afterwards people can enjoy the fete with all the family.

“Cancer Research UK has made enormous progress in the fight against cancer. However our life-saving research is totally dependent on the continued dedication and commitment of our supporters. This event will raise vital funds to help beat cancer sooner.”

Registration is £8 per dog.
