Human/Dog Interaction:
wheelchairdog350.jpg
This explores the relationship between humans and dogs and includes A Potted History of Man’s Relationship with the Dog.  We feature the important roles dog play in our lives as companions, working partners and as service and therapy dogs.  We examine the effect dogs have on our lives from childhood to old age and the health benefits they can provide to all of us.

Well Dog Healthcare:
healthydog350.jpg
We love our dogs and want to make sure that they maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle.  Well dog healthcare includes the simple routine tasks such as dental care and grooming, and preventative treatment against potential diseases.  For more difficult decisions, such as neutering, we advise of the pros and cons but will always recommend dog owners seek advice from their veterinary surgeon when appropriate.

Vet Bytes:
dognvet350.jpg
All the articles in this category are written by qualified vets who describe various conditions in dogs that they see in their own clinics.  The aim is manifold.  They can give reassurance to someone who has a pet suffering with a particular disease, for example Diabetes mellitus in dogs, or they can advise on how conditions can be avoided, such as Hyperthermia in Dogs.  By describing some of the symptoms that occur, owners are made aware of when they should be seeking advice from their own vet, and will be less frightened by presenting signs such as those seen in Epilepsy in Dogs.

Dog Rescue:
lisanruby350.jpg Lisa Johnson and Ruby
To an extent this category speaks for itself, although we tend to focus on some of the more special cases.  We are aware that not every dog lover is able to take on a pet fulltime however there are many ways in which one can be involved in dog rescue and we have put forward a few ideas.  Lisa Johnson adores dogs but she leads a busy life working in the music industry that also requires travelling the world.  She has found her niche in fostering a rescue dog, could you?

Dog Training and Dog Behaviour:
training350.jpg
A well trained dog is one that will give its owner and family most pleasure and it will also be most acceptable in society.  We discuss the importance of socialisation and reward based training, how to treat behaviour problems and we offer some alternative treatments to improving your dog’s welfare.
